I do like shopping there and the recent changes to the paving and planting is excellent. A few exciting new shops have opened but there are still too many empty shops. I'm lucky to be able to walk there in 10-15 minutes. I still miss the 'proper' market Altrincham was famous for and we've lost a lot of everyday shops. That said, there are plenty of visitors (including dogs ♥️). However families or groups of friends need to be aware that there are other people around, and have the decency to not block shop entrances or make it difficult to pass around or through them hence the dropped star.

Nice and clean area, people are very friendly and respectful, many places to eat and drink, family friendly, bus station and metrolink aswel as train station is all in one places, tesco is behind, plenty of banks on the main road and some very nice cake shops too

Loved it. Been before. Lots of independent bars, coffee shops. Always love the market area too when open. Great shops too. Nice relaxed atmosphere.

Looks real nice and trendy after renovations. Upmarket shopping location with ample parking, easy bus and train access
