After sending over an enquiry through Rightmove trying to confirm conflicting information on the listing, I received a response with none of the requested information given but a set of preliminary questions requested for me to fill in instead. I submitted this personal information and answered all preliminary questions, asking again for them to confirm information. They just answered a question without offering to book me in for a viewing despite the hoops I’d already jumped through. The email was one sentence that didn’t contain the date, time or address. I had to chase them to let me book a viewing after submitting the questions. I sent them an email asking to book to which did not receive a response. I rang up, they offered me a time and a date and I asked if I’d receive confirmation. They said yes. I never received it so I rang up. They said “you never sent us confirmation you’d be attending”. Stunned, I pointed out they had received confirmation I wanted to attend, both via email when I asked originally to book and there in that very moment when I was again asking for their confirmation. The person on the phone just kept repeating they wanted an email so I asked what they wanted the email subject to say. In the end the person on the phone offered to reply to the email they’d got with the details, which wasn’t much of an olive branch as this is what a confirmation looks like, the very thing I was asking for. After this phone conversation, about 30 mins later I receive an email saying that the block I was due to be in was fully booked. I pointed out this wasn’t possible as they’d already offered me 11:30. I haven’t received a response since however it’s probably done me a massive favour. The state of Estate Agents in Manchester is deplorable and I’m yet to find one that can act in a professional and reliable manner. I’m also yet to find one that have staff who aren’t completely useless and administratively incompetent. Please avoid The Manchester Estate Agent. UPDATE: It’s possible that looking at more recent positive reviews, these are from friends or family of the business owners/managers as they all have the same surname. UPDATE NO.2 : this review is not fake. The reply is an attempt at undermining the review. The Manchester Estate Agent know exactly who I am, as they’ve emailed and called me multiple times to get me to remove this review. A piece, of several pieces of evidence is now included here. You’ve emailed and called me so many times that I’ve had to block both your email address and phone number. Please see the now attached evidence of the initial enquiry and the calls logs in which I rang 3 times on the day after the initially requested viewing for this confirmation. You can see I had to ring again a 4th time to be told that I had to email instead of call for confirmation, and they ended up emailing me anyway. I would upload the thread that was useless, in which they didn’t answer my questions, and then told me what they’d booked me for wasn’t available, however it’s most likely been archived and auto deleted. I’ll keep digging for it. Please see instead the email in which a poor attempt at an apology was made for this, only to get me to remove the review. Let me make it clear that there was no miscommunication. I emailed and called multiple times to get you to confirm some very, very basic information. It was like getting blood from a stone. Basic administrative tasks were not completed and no confirmation was ever sent to me despite explicitly asking for it multiple times. My name is hidden from this review as I have the right to remain anonymous on the internet. Please also be aware that no abuse was given towards your staff. I simply accepted the awful customer service and reviewed the business here instead.
