Tierney Property Management Sales and Lettings

The most unprofessional estate agent I've ever had the displeasure of speaking to. Mike Tierney is arrogant and rude, offering little value to potential vendors or purchasers, other than an egocentric attitude. He actually puts the phone down on people mid conversation, as soon as he loses interest in the call - appalling.

Absolutely appalled by this agency. Had a lovely viewing of a property with Mike. Then every single interaction afterwards was done via Joanna. Every single phone call was very rude and abrupt. She called my partners application “diabolical”. Called off 3 different numbers and intentionally left no paper trace of any rudeness. Even voicemails were an immediate change of tone. We went ahead anyway and was at the stage of putting a holding deposit down, in which we were asked to pay £1050. I called back politely to ask why the security deposit was required and I was told bluntly it’s to take the property off of Rightmove. I said “isn’t that what the holding deposit is for”. The immediate response was accusing me of questioning their process and I simply stated I need to speak to my partner. Within 30 minutes of this I had recieved the email attached in the photo by which I am appalled! First of all no “comments” were made to relay onto a landlord, secondly I asked a simple question about a deposit which I can rightfully ask and deserve a lot more information about, and this was immediately met with appalling attitude and cancelled the whole process! 1 question!

We used Tierney Property Management recently to sell our property in Stalybridge. Right from the start Mike and Alex were very professional and courteous in their approach. They explained the process thoroughly and managed our expectations from the get go. Produced an excellent marketing strategy that was well executed and meant that the property was sold within 8 weeks! They were available at all times of the day to take a call and managed all viewings superbly. Resulting in a smooth sale and completion of the property. I have no hesitation in recommending their services and will use again in the future.

Would give -5 stars if possible. Honestly the worst agents I have ever experienced. We've been left with a mould issue for over a year, I was told last week..it's all a bit dramatic! We got served an eviction notice at the start of our tenancy because our toilet was unusable and I got frustrated with them because they were in no rush to repair it. More recently they are trying to kick me and my pregnant wife out in two days, not following the laws of eviction, and this is because they've spat their dummy out because I've challenged them and their pride has been dented. They seem to create their own rules and regulations in regards to tenancys and I would categorigaly avoid these people at all cost if you're looking to rent
