This is one of the worst estate agents a landlord or tenant can use. I recently lived in one of their managed properties (was not the main tenant on the contract so they won’t have my name on record) and this is a horrible company to deal with. When we lived there, they were so cheap and would not fix hazardous issues that were of safety concerns. They are extremely unethical and is just milking off of people both landlords and tenants. When we moved out they fraudulently claimed things were not clean and just kept making lies and fabricating things including invoices and receipts. They are first class scammers and took so much of the deposit. They are very happy to eat your hard earned money up. Never rent or use this horrible estate agent to manage your properties there are much better estate agents out there that are not cheap and give good services to tenants. Most of the staff in here are also super unfriendly, it seems you have to be some sort of a special person to work here as well. For people who are supposed to be experts and professionals in real estate they surely don’t seem to know anything about the laws and regulations of estate management.

Negative experience. Enquired online about viewing a property. Waited a week to see if they would email/ ring me to arrange a viewing. Nothing. Then received an email 9 days later to register my details & book a viewing online but despite fitting the income criteria, no adverse credit /ccjs etc - it said registration unsuccessful. I then tried again incase it was an automated mistake & it said " no more viewing times" yet property's been on a month & they've had to reduce it it once. The email also states " access our tenancy application form here" but the link doesn't work. If they're relying on online enquiries instead of human contact then at least make sure forms work . Bad first impression. No excuses really. Such a shame as I had the cash deposit , a flawless credit score & in no chain !

Horrendous. As a tenant I would advise avoiding this company at all costs. They've kept hold of our deposit for over a month since we vacated the property due to problems at their end, and now they have the cheek to try and charge us for cleaning costs when I broke my back to return the rental in the condition that we received it in, incredibly insulting, spineless and I can't imagine that they would be pleased if a company treated them or their family with such disregard or lack of respect. Still have not had our deposit returned. Many other unprofessional instances throughout our tenancy such as incorrect information about the end date of our tenancy, lost keys/accusing us of sending the wrong keys.

Disgusting company with no morals or care for tenants. I would strongly advise against anyone using Winnard for the purposes of a rental. Throughout our tenancy we reported issues and we were constantly being gaslit and forced to deal with the issues by ourselves, such as mould due to poor insulation and lack of access to the electricity meter room in our block of flats. As a letting agent, you are paid to manage a property and have a duty of care to tenants. This is something that Winnard Property Group fail to understand.
They repeatedly made admin errors such as incorrect information about the end date of our tenancy and lost keys/accusing us of sending the wrong keys upon check out.
We vacated the property at the beginning of January 2025 and it is March 2025 and we still have not received our deposit back due to seriously poor organisation by Winnard Property Group and claims that we left the flat dirty which is not true. We had to start an official claim through the deposit scheme to resolve this, which no one at Winnard bothered to respond to, so the case is now about to be dealt with by an adjudicator, further prolonging an issue that could have been resolved months ago.
Darren, who is the Executive Director, is a nasty excuse for a man and I sincerely hope that reading this will dissuade others from having to ever deal with him.
