I recently sold a property with the help of Saltsman & Co. I found the process of dealing with them very easy and straightforward. They were upfront with costs, service expectations, local and wider market insights, and I found them a pleasure to deal with. We found ourselves in tricky circumstances when our chain collapsed when a purchaser for our property withdrew. The team dealt with this with genuine care and support and acted quickly to return the house to market and get "feet through the door" straight away. Without their help and support we could have lost our onward purchase property, so for that, I am very thankful. Ultimately, selling a family home is not a particularly fun process, but who better to sell a family home than a family run business! The team's outstanding communication, personalised approach, professionalism and reliability made this process very painless right through to completion. Terrible company to deal with when renting. Saltsman constantly refuse to have works done on the properties they are meant to manage. From a broken washing machine waste pipe, leaking gutters to the boiler not working Saltsman refuse to undertake repairs leaving a good paying tenant freezing with no hot water or heating. There way of dealing with complaints is to put the rent up and ignore repair requests. After constantly complaining i was issued a section 21 eviction notice despite never missing a rent payment. As with previous comments the so called manager kevin says one thing lying to your face and does another. They threatened i would be left homeless for asking for repairs to be done. Keen enough to to take there cut of the rent yet fail to keep up with there obligations to do repairs. Then have the nerve to try and delay my deposit. Good job to the DPS.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. By far the most unprofessional estate agents I have ever come across. Was under a property for 3 1/2 years and had non stop problems and neglect not only from the estate agents but the landlord. I Lived in there pregnant and with a toddler and had damp and mould, mouse infested property which I had reported non stop issues too time and time again to which I either got ignored or told they’re not being held liable for anything they “can’t control” despite reports being made years prior to the major damage. I had never missed a payment, never missed a bill and was only ever polite with them until they took the absolute mick and I had to report them to the council. I am still legally fighting for my deposit back from months ago as I uploaded all my evidence to show what I had or hadn’t done wrong however they have still failed to upload anything on time to prove that they want to take my full £1100 deposit. Honestly the communication was shocking and they are down right rude and have not got a clue what they are talking about when it comes to the law or tenant rights. Do not go with this estate agents if you want reliable people!
